Receiving Countdown!

Alright ladies…let the countdown begin!
Receiving begins this Thursday at 5PM!  A couple reminders (that you will see again in the coming days)…
1.  Make sure you print out and bring your Inventory Report (login – manage inventory – reports – inventory report – print) (tip: if your report prints from largest number to smallest number, that’s fine don’t reorganize…to print your report in smallest number to largest, just click the arrow next to the “item” column on your inventory report)
2.  Please print, read, and sign the “2012 Sellers Agreement” on the ‘Consignors’ page and bring this with you to receiving
3.  Make sure you load all your items in your vehicle in Item Number order…this will match your report and make life a bit easier at receiving
4.  At receiving, you will place your clothing items in item number order and your table items in item number order.  We will then check you in and once we have determined what we will allow in and what we will not, you will put your accepted items in their correct places on the sales floor…please be diligent with this.  If you place your 5T clothing in 4T, it will not sell.
We are excited to see you all in just a few days!  The store is coming together (much faster this time:)).  We will try to have our vendors ready to introduce to you on the “vendor” page of the website by week’s end.  You are entering inventory like crazy now…looking good!  Oh, that reminds me…only register for a “check-in” time if you have over 175 items entered in inventory.  We will remove you otherwise.  For those with less then 175, no appointment is necessary…come at your convenience during receiving hours.
I’ll be in touch again…

scheduled down time

Our database center has an issue that must be addressed and in an attempt to be proactive, they must do it this Saturday (Jan. 28th)  from 10PM EST until 2AM EST.  It will impact our servers but probably not for all of those 4 hours.  They cannot give us a specific time or time frame though.  So, for all you late owls, do not enter items during that time.  You can print your tags before then and attach your tags during those hours, or hang your clothes, or make all your items look like new…we would just not recommend being logged on to the inventory part of the site at that time.  I can tell you that in the past this has only affected the site for less than 30 minutes…however, if your luck is like mine it will be during the time i’m on it! :)   So, again…plan accordingly.
Sorry for the inconvenience.  If you have any questions feel free to ask…I’ll do my best to answer.

Spring Summer Sale is Here!!!

Ok all!  Let’s begin!  We have officially signed the paperwork and all is ready to claim!  Yay!  The location for this sale will be in the same building as the last sale…The American Outdoors building on Hwy 82!  The dates are official…take a look at the “dates/times” button on the menu bar and mark your calendar!  Receiving begins February 9th so let’s get started!  We are an email away if you have any questions, but be sure to click on everything on the site…it’s filled with information!  We are going to try to youtube a video on hanging and pining…we’ll let you know how that goes:).

Here we go!!!!

Selling has ended…

Well, the selling has ended…now for the inventory.  We will be using the next several days to organize our remaining inventory and make sure it is correct.  We will not be finished until then.  We will let our consignors know when the final reports are in and you can view your inventory sheet and the sold items.

Have a great weekend!

Half-Price Friday

Today begins our half-price days. If a consignor allows discounts to be taken, you can now get those items half off the original price. As you are shopping, look for tags with “Discount: YES” on them. Those are the items that are half-priced. The discounts will automatically be taken off at check-out.

We are open from 9am to 6pm today. Come and shop for some great deals for your family’s needs.

Tomorrow is the last day for the Fall Sale. We are open from 8am to 11am only. Come early.

Receiving…check!

Sigh…341 of you decided to sell your wares…over 28,000 of them.  We saw over 120 of you today!  Again, kudos to you and Renee!  The combination was wonderful.  There were a couple moments where there was a wait, but for the most part, you all did a fantastic job of being prepared!  We are so proud of you!  There is some VERY cute stuff in the store!  We cannot tell you how much we appreciate the time you took to wash, press, and hang your items.  It never goes unnoticed.  Our shoppers enjoy the experience because they know they will get some fantastic clothing, toys, and more for their children.  Now for you…

You may not hear from us for a couple days…no worries, I’ll do my best to post pictures on the FaceBook invite of the areas we finish arranging…but this may be my last contact for a moment or two:).  We will be working to get the store shopper friendly.  Oh, THANK YOU too, for being diligent in placing your items in the right bins and catagories…that will help us a lot!  You will be shopping Monday, the 15th, from 5PM to 9PM…JUST YOU (our consignors!).  Remember, “one ticket, one person”.  We ask you to NOT bring the children Monday night.  We are also going to boldly ask you to tell your friends who you invite on Tuesday evening (5PM-9PM) to NOT bring their children either.  It’s just not safe.  We honestly do this for the children.  They are not seen when mamas are trying to get somewhere in particular and they trip over the children because their hands are full and their eyes are on the prize.  These 2 evenings we urge you to make it a “girl’s night out”.  Leave the kiddos with daddy or the grands.

As for the shopping, because the children will not be with you we suggest you bring a sizing guide.  Make a list of the sizes you will need…shirts, pants, skirts, dresses, shoes for each child.  When I say sizes, I mean take a shirt, pants, shoe, etc that fits and measure with a cloth tape measure the “dimensions” of the garment.  Write them down.  For example, a shirt…measure from shoulder end to shoulder end and shoulder seam to bottom seam.  Once you have those measurements, you can use those to determine if a shirt you like will fit your child.  We all know that just because the size says one thing, doesn’t mean it will fit.  Using the same tape measure, measure the same dimensions at the store and make sure the measurements are bigger!  It’s that easy!  Skirts, shirts, and pants will not be too short!  It works for me:) (I also measure the waist)   This will also help you remember your bag…it will have your tape measure and your note sheet in it!

Ok, gonna get some sleep now…well, after I send an email to our vendors…YES!  Don’t forget our vendors…bring an extra check or cash for them…they will be offering their custom trades…such fun stuff for mama’s, babies, and families!

Goodnight and see you in a week!

Dee and Renee

Final Weekend

Well, this is the final weekend to get your items into the store!  Whoo Hoo!  There are already thousands of items in the store, and we are expecting thousands more!  We will be open for Receiving today, Saturday, and Monday.  Please take a look at the “dates/times” on the website for the times.  For those who have over 175 items and have scheduled an appointment we ask that you be on time (maybe a little early to unload).  Now for the warning…

For those who have waited until the very last minute to enter all your items…be careful!  We expect to be VERY busy today and Monday.  The more you enter, the longer the wait.  It will be HOT outside.  This is not the easy part of the sale…receiving is WORK.  Put on your comfortable shoes (its a big store).  We know that some of you will have over 175 items and no appointment.  Please know we will get to you when we can.  But we ask that you not expect immediate attention when you have waited until the last minute…its just not kind to the rest of the ladies.  Next warning…those who have waited until the last minute, Do NOT come the last 15 minutes of the receiving time.  If you are new to this, we BEG you to take at least an hour to print out your inventory sheet, seller’s agreement, and load…there is a learning curve!  There is even a learning curve to Unloading! Also, newbies and procrastinators…know that it will take more than one hour to print, cut, and pin your tags.  DO  NOT expect that to happen in less time…not today (Murphy’s law ya know…).

Ok, enough mothering…you get the picture.  PLEASE  think of others too.  We want to sell your items, we want you to participate, we will have as much patience as we can muster…please BE PREPARED!

See you in a minute!

Dee and Renee
